P90X Workout

Your best body ever: The P90X Workout

Suppose you found a workout that could actually transform your body in as little as 90 days? What if that workout were challenging; I mean really challenging? What if a fitness program could offer the depth, breadth and rigor required by more advanced athletes? The P90X workout claims to offer just this. It can power off the fat and excess pounds yielding a truly lean, strong and well-defined physique. Just how does it work? Are these claims accurate or even realistic?

Let's take a closer look at the P90X workout program. The P90X strength training workout was developed by Tony Horton, former actor and personal trainer to the stars. As a ‘next step' after the P90X workout, the P90X is the plan that dares you to truly push beyond your self-imposed limitations of what your fitness level can truly be. To have a body that's toned and well-defined following the P90X workout can be a reality. Just follow the plan, be committed, work hard and it can happen for you.

How does the program work? First, it's not for the faint of heart. It will challenge you, to say the least. If you want extreme results, then be prepared to really put your all into it and then some. Some say that if you have significant weight to lose, then this might be the way you get it off once and for all. Yet there are others who warn that this plan is for those who are already at or close to their ideal weight and have a moderate level of physical fitness, rather than one who is sedentary and/or obese. For those who need to attain a basic level of physical fitness, they should focus on first establishing that baseline and not attempt to graduate to the P90X before they are ready.

The comprehensive workout package contains 12 DVDs of demanding, strength training workouts, a three- phase nutritional program to complement your workout, a fitness guide, natural supplement options, and online support. Workouts include back and biceps; Ab Ripper X ; X Stretch; shoulders and arms; chest, shoulders, and triceps; Yoga X; legs and back; chest and back; Plyometrics; Core Synergistics; Cardio X; Kenpro X. Accessories and add-ons are available.

The P90X approach is progressive. Each workout builds on the other by causing a state called ‘muscle confusion' which allows enthusiasts to never reach a plateau and to also keep the workout interesting. That way, during the 90-day program your body is continually advancing toward new levels of fitness. Because the program combines nutrition and carefully designed workouts, dedicated participants can maximize their desired outcomes; low body fat, ripped muscles and your best body-ever.

My good friend just finished doing the entire p90x system but he took an extra 15 days to complete it. Its made a huge difference in his life since he used to be a little overweight.

I can tell you that it was definitely hard for him because around day 50 he hit a wall and was really counting down til the end, but he finished it and looks great.
